Open Protocol Translator 01.11.2008

The „Open Protocol Translator“ is intended to use as a translator for many different protocols, no matter on what kind of device.

You have the ability, to use it as a socket to file switch or vice versa. Additionally you can insert the received data in databases. Database connections available for ODBC, Informix, Oracle and sure for MySQL databases. The OPT can act as a socket server or a socket client an is waiting for incomming data on unlimited number of connections. Supported network protokols are TCP/IP and UDP. The OPT comes with useful standard settings and is highly adjustable, such as time outs on booth parts of communication. The software was written in Pascal and can be used in Delphi or FreePascal. The „Open Protocol Translator“ is licensed under the GPL3 license.

Supported high level protocols for the first are ASTM. For the near future i have planned to implement more high level protocols, in detail POCT 1A and HL7. In special cases other protocols can be soon implemented too.

TPrintSet is now available in version 3.32. New properties  added,  for example the runtime designer, rotated Fonts, datetime functions and some new dialogs. Every print control has the ability to draw simple text from edit or memo controls of your application. Also you can print rich text from an richedit control or from richmemo blobfields.

Borland Delphi 8 ist verfügbar!
Nun ist es endlich soweit. Borland hat das neue Release von Delphi Version 8auf dem Markt.
Die Leistungsmerkmale der neuen Version sind beeindruckend. Im Bereich der Internettechnoloien hat Borland krätig nachgelegt. Aber auch die Unterstützung der neuen Betriebssystemfunktionen der Windowsversionen und zahlreiche Erweiterungen der Datenbanktools machen die Version sehr attraktiv.

Kylix ist bestes RAD Tool für Linux:
Mit der Verfügbarkeit von Kylix ist der Weg frei für die Entwicklung von Programmen für Unixsysteme auf breiter Basis. Die Quellcodekompatibilität zuDelphi macht es ebenfalls möglich entwickelte Programme der Windowswelt einfach auf Unix zu übertragen.
